A personal Handpan experience at my home in Austria

Whether you've never touched a Handpan before or have been playing for years, you're welcome here.

My One on One workshop is an invitation to spend one to three days with me at my home in Austria, exploring the Handpan, making music, exchanging ideas, and getting to know my personal approach to the instrument.

There is no required level of experience, no specific scale you need to bring, and no particular knowledge I expect you to have.

You might be a complete beginner, curious about where to start. You might already have years of experience and want to work on something very specific. Maybe you're feeling stuck in your playing, looking for new inspiration, or simply interested in understanding how I approach music.

Whatever brings you here, we start exactly where you are.

Your time, your questions, your direction

What matters most to me is that our time together is genuinely personal.

I don't follow a fixed workshop program. Instead, I take the time to understand where you're coming from, what interests you, what you might be struggling with, and what you'd like to explore.

We can work on technique, coordination, rhythm, musical structure, improvisation, composition, or developing your own musical ideas. We can take things right back to the basics or get into the smallest details of your playing.

But for me, playing the Handpan has never been just about the technical side of making music. Over the years, it has also become a way of understanding myself better, exploring how I approach things, how I listen, how I deal with challenges, and how I express myself.

I find it fascinating how much of our personality and the way we move through life can show up in something as simple as playing an instrument. And if that's something you're curious about, I'd be happy to explore that side of music with you as well.

I also want to share how I personally understand the Handpan. How I look at the structure of an instrument, how I find musical possibilities within a scale, how I develop ideas, and what guides my decisions when I play.

For me, teaching is not just about showing you patterns or exercises. It's about sharing the way I think, listen, practice, and make music, and helping you find an approach that makes sense to you.

And of course, there will be plenty of time to simply sit down and play together.

More than just a lesson

During your stay, you'll be living with me at my home in Austria.

You'll have your own private guest room and bathroom, and I'll take care of the cooking. If you have any dietary requirements, we can arrange that beforehand.

Rather than following a strict timetable from morning to evening, we'll let the days have a natural flow.

We'll spend time playing, practicing, talking about music, sharing meals, going for walks in the surrounding forests, and taking breaks whenever we feel like it.

I want you to experience not only how I teach the Handpan, but also how the instrument is part of my everyday life.

Some of the most interesting conversations and musical discoveries happen outside a structured lesson. That's why I like to leave room for them.

Explore different instruments

Through my collaboration with Mudra Handpans, I have a personal collection of carefully selected instruments at home.

During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to try many of them, explore different scales, compare their characteristics, and discover how different instruments can inspire different musical ideas.

I love sharing these instruments and the possibilities I see in each of them.

An experience shaped around you

I genuinely enjoy working with people at all stages of their musical development.

You don't need to prepare anything or arrive with a particular goal. But if you do have specific questions, challenges, or ideas you'd like to focus on, I'd love to hear about them.

My intention is simple: to give you my time, attention, experience, and an honest insight into how I approach the Handpan and music in general.

And hopefully, you'll leave with new ideas, a deeper understanding of your instrument, and plenty of inspiration to continue exploring on your own.

Duration & Pricing

You can choose to stay for one, two, or three days.

1 day: €750

2 days: €1,500

3 days: €2,000

Your stay includes our individual workshop time, accommodation in your own guest room with a private bathroom, and home cooked meals.

Workshops are available in English and German.
